Hornsey

Now part of the north London borough of Haringey, Hornsey was originally a small Middlesex village dating back to the 13th century.  Today, most  buildings in the area date from the 19th and 20th centuries, including Alexandra Palace, from where the first public television transmissions were made in 1936.
