Britain By Car - A Motoring History

Beaulieu

Situated on the River Beaulieu, Beaulieu is a small village located on the south-eastern edge of the New Forest, approximately five miles from the coast.

In 1204, a Cistercian Abbey was founded in Beaulieu by King John; although little of this remains today, the former gatehouse has been retained and enlarged, and today forms Palace House, the ancestral home of the Montagu family.

Beaulieu, Brockenhurst, Hampshire, SO42 7ZN.

An award-winning museum, housing one of the world’s most outstanding collections of cars, m/cycles & motoring memorabilia.
