Britain By Car - A Motoring History

Thames Ditton

An attractive suburban village on the south side of the River Thames, about twelve miles west of London. For 75 years, until 1939, it had a bronze foundry, specifically for the casting of statues.  One of these, that of Oliver Cromwell, stands outside the Palace of Westminster in London.

The longtime location of one of Britain’s oldest motor companies.

Ferry Works, Summer Road, Thames Ditton; High Street, Thames Ditton; and High House, Thames Ditton.
