Thames Ditton

An attractive suburban village on the south side of the River Thames, about twelve miles west of London. For 75 years, until 1939, it had a bronze foundry, specifically for the casting of statues.  One of these, that of Oliver Cromwell, stands outside the Palace of Westminster in London.
