Swindon

 For many years, a small market town, Swindon grew rapidly with the coming of the rail works to the town in 1842, for the repair and maintenance of locomotives on the Great Western Railway.

Today, the town’s main industries are car manufacturing, financial services, and pharmaceuticals.
