Commentary
The youngest of nine children, Walter Bentley grew up in this large, rambling, family house, close to Regent’s Park.

In 1940, the house was destroyed by an enemy land (parachute) mine.

Today the site is occupied by Swiss Cottage School, where a plaque commemorates the life of W.O Bentley MBE.
