Mill Hill
Located about nine miles from central London, the name Mill Hill is derived from the location of a 14th century windmill; a time when the area was part of the Middlesex Forest.
Over the next 200 years the land was cleared for farming. It was not until the 19th century, with the coming of the railway that Mill Hill developed into a residential area, and an outer suburb of London.
