A small seaside town on the Lincolnshire coast, with a long sandy beach.

In January 1953, the town was one of a number of communities on both sides of the North Sea engulfed by usually high tides. The flooding in and around Mablethorpe reached almost two miles inland and 42 people lost their lives.
