Commentary
Under 100 per cent Ford ownership, Aston Martin’s first new purpose-built factory was opened at Gaydon in September 2003, where production of the DB9 began in January 2004.
In 2007, the company was sold to Kuwaiti investment houses, Investment Dar and Adeem Investment.
Later in the year, a new Aston Martin design centre opened on the Gaydon site.
