Burntwood

Burntwood

A small town situated between Lichfield and Cannock.  Once part of Cannock Chase, Burntwood grew considerably with the development of coal mining nearby in the 1850s. Today, the town is featured in the Guinness Book of Records as having the smallest park in Britain.  Prince’s Park is a tiny area with just three trees, commemorating the marriage of the Prince of Wales to Princess Alexandra of Denmark in 1863.
