Britain By Car - A Motoring History

Bradford-on-Avon

Attractively set in, and along the side of, the Avon Valley, the town has many fine buildings, including probably the finest Saxon church in the country.  It has a long history of cloth manufacture, and was the site of an early rubber factory, established by Stephen Moulton, great-grandfather to Sir Alex Moulton, who worked on the development of the suspension the Mini and other BMC and BL cars.
