Britain By Car - A Motoring History

Staffordshire

With a tendency to be overshadowed by its larger and more prominent neighbours, Staffordshire is most northerly of the West Midlands counties, and one of great contrast.  It includes landscapes of outstanding natural beauty, such as Cannock Chase and parts of the Peak District, along with the traditional urban areas of the Black Country and the Potteries, closely linked to Britain's early industrial development.
