Britain By Car - A Motoring History

Berkshire

Known as the Royal County of Berkshire through its royal connections at Windsor, Berkshire has an upmarket reputation, with some areas retaining something of the feel of a bygone age.

However Berkshire is not just a picture of traditional middle and upper class England.  The towns of Slough, Reading, Bracknell and Newbury are all modern industrial centres.
